I bought this guitar off a friend last spring for $100. It's an Epiphone SG clone. A good value for $100, but the fret job on it was pretty bad (everything else about the guitar was fine; the pickups in particular sound really good). I did all the truss rod and bridge adjustments I could but still couldn't get the action very low without a ton of fret buzz. The only fix left would be to get it re-fretted by a professional and that would, frankly, cost more than the guitar was worth. Recently I discovered the world of fretless guitars and decided that instead of repairing the frets, I could just rip them out and turn it into a fretless guitar.
